Our planning commission would really like the City to adopt a ordinances that would give a preference to local companies and to nonprofit causes over for profit companies with regard to permits for fireworks stands. I've advised them that both could be problematic due to First Amendment issues (nonprofit preference) and privilege and immunities clause etc. (for the local preference). Has anyone done extensive research on either of these issues under Oklahoma law?
