maintained to the highest standards.

The port, or starboard wing
doors enter the huge full beam aft deck air conditioned main salon which has
a
flat screen TV and a home theater system with a 5 disc cd/dvd player.  There
is a separate DC powered
stereo which also serves the galley area.
The salon is furnished with a Flexsteel two cushion reclining couch
upholstered in Ultraleather, and two matching Flexsteel recliners.  The salon
has sliding windows, a
sliding glass door to the aft deck, and an opening door which leads to the
flybridge.  Down 4 steps from the
main salon is the galley and dining area, which is surrounded by windows.
Forward
of the galley level, down 3 steps is the utility room with separate Asko
front-loading washer and dryer.
This area also contains additional storage, a separate access door to
the engine room, an access door to the guest stateroom, and an access door to
the guest head. The forward guest stateroom has a centerline double bed,
hanging
locker, and an additional access door to the head. "Altair" has a
huge amount of storage, a very large engine room, and multiple social areas
with excellent ambient lighting.

Galley

The Gulfstar 44 has an
exceptionally large galley for a vessel of this size. The food preparation
area
occupies the port side while the starboard side has a solid teak dining table
with chairs and a settee which can accomodate 6 guests for formal dining.  The
chef and guests can also enjoy a
flat screen TV in this area.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom is
huge, richly finished in teak with a centerline queen bed.  The port side has
two full length
hanging closets.  The starboard
side has a flat screen TV and numerous drawers, and storage. Also to
starboard
is a seating area with a custom designed vanity and storage drawer. The
master
stateroom head contains a Vacuflush toilet system, and large stall shower
with
an overhead deck hatch.

VIP Stateroom - Forward

The very private forward
guest stateroom contains a centerline full berth, private access to the guest
head, which contains a Vacuflush toilet system, a dedicated shower area, and
an
additional access door from the lower level utility area.

Forward and Side Decks

The deck area allows for
safe side deck access to the main salon wing doors, and to a large foredeck,
which contains the Ideal anchor windless, and stainless steel fender holders
housing fenders with custom Sunbella covers. Anchors and a boarding ladder
are
located here.

Aft Deck

The deck aft of the main
salon has a ladder down to the swim platform, and is perfect for line
handling
and for sitting under the shade of the boat deck overhead.

Electrical

The electrical system is
energized by shore power with an electric Glendinning cord retrieval system,
or
the 12 volt battery banks with engine alternators, and a new battery charger
and monitoring system. All electrical needs are channeled through a
commercial
grade breaker panel located in the aft galley bulkhead.

2 8D batteries are used for
house service

1 8D battery dedicated to
engine starting

Battery selector switch

New battery charger in 2009

Engine Room

The engine room is large,
clean, and easily accessed through a walk-through door located in the utility
area. All systems are easily serviced, and additional storage is abundant. The
Caterpillar
3208T engines run to spec's, and the (new in 2008) 9 kw Northern Lights
generator,
which is enclosed in a sound shield is very quiet.  All the fuel filter
housings have been changed to Racors to
make filter changes easier.

Flybridge

The flybridge is where the
helmchair, aft and side bench seating, and lounging pad are located.  The
full Stamoid enclosure includes forward clear panels
made from polycarbonate for optical clarity.  The extended "eyebrow" enclosure
offer comfortable protection from the
elements.

Large Compass

48 Mile Furuno radar with
6ft open array

New VHF radio on bridge
with remote located in galley

Furuno GPS

Stereo with ipod input and speakers

Other Features

The Gulfstar Widebody
replaced the original 44 motoryacht in 1986, and enjoyed a production run
until
Gulfstar was sold in 1988. Only 25 hulls of this refined design were
produced,
and are the most sought after model Gulfstar produced due to her expanded
main
salon, and other refinements to include the radar arch, and redesigned
flybridge.

Altair was built to display
in boat shows to help promote the model and as such was outfitted with all
the
options available.  She was
originally sold at the Annapolis boat show.  Her current owner is only the
second to enjoy this
fine yacht.
