landscape. For Meeting the Social Distancing Challenge: Strategies for
Adult ESL, we will be joined by Deborah
Kennedy, President, National Coalition for Literacy, who will discuss
state-level policies on adult education, recent federal-level guidance
from the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE), and
strategies and resources for providing distance
education. The session will close with a brief audience question and
answer period.

CAL Policy One Takes is a series of short policy brief webinars on
topics related to implementation of state and federal policies in the
time of COVID-19 for State Education Agencies (SEAs), Local Education
Agencies (LEAs), and adult
education (ABE/ESL) programs.

Finally, my thanks to all of you for the work that you continue to do in this extremely challenging situation. I am continually impressed by the commitment and creativity that teachers, program staff, and adult learners demonstrate every day in support of effective adult education.

Have a good weekend, all.

Deborah
