You stand before emptiness and wait for the dance with the voice of guidance to begin. Limitations fall away and we give ourselves full permission to dive deep into the dance with color, intuition, imagination, play, courage, laughter, spirit & self. Begin with letting go of what you want your painting to look like. I know this may be hard but in the letting go you give yourself the true gift of possibility. Anything can happen now. You are making space for your painting to reveal itself as it is meant to without any preconceived ideas in your head. A wonderful way to release any pressure and discover what is living just underneath your rational ideas and comfortable patterns. This takes time and trust in this process. Be patient with yourself! Intuitive painting is an experimental and energetic process of transformation It is designed to change you and work you and open you up… Letting go of our normal defenses and our ego is what we need to grow but we resist sometimes! Intuitive painting is like dreaming and operates with symbols and pure energy. Intuition wants to feel real… let it seep into your bones and being. It is doing something on an energetic level… Your job is to Allow it. There is nothing to figure out. Let the painting happen… no need to force it. Surrender control of the outcome. Standing in the present moment is a way to allow this process to happen. If you focus on control or outcome you are in the past or the future. I love Intuitive Painting because that sacred part of me that always knows what I need takes over. I paint out feelings - release old "stuff" and I always feel so much better.
