This afternoon I was visiting a few canal sites and stopped at the spot
where the Glens Falls Feeder Canal meets the modern Champlain Canal on the
summit level above Lock C-8. The level is still almost drained, but
they've turned on the Feeder and they're starting to fill the Canal!
The site is normally completely submerged and I was surprised to find this
little dam and waterfall, visible only at "low tide". Here's what it looks
like:

Soon I'll have water to float the boat!
