8/19/15Espalier Pruning

At Gallucci, our apple, pear, and grape plants are being trained along a
wire so that they can be easily maintained and harvested. This is called
“espalier.” We are all familiar with espaliered grapes in a vineyard.
Nearly any fruit can be espaliered, though apples and pears work the best
because we can get fruit to grow on the same branches year after year.

Take this introductory course now and have enough time to plan and prepare
your site for January planting. Taught by Master Gardener John Valentine.
