The Manta 44 which is quite a bit bigger boat  (21 ft. wide) 27,000 lbs with
the same engines will top out at  22 knots. But the fuel burn Maine Cat is
quoting dosent  jive with the numbers we got at the same rpm. The Manta saw 10
gals per hour at 15 knots. Hard to believe the Maine Cat is half that. Engines
at a given rpm should burn close to the same despite, displacement and hull
fineness difference. We have found the Volvo flow meters to be pretty
inaccurate.
