Subject: WebSci'09 - Call for Extended Abstracts

Dear Gustavo,

The Program Committee of the "WebSci'09 - Society On-line" conference,
which will be held in Athens, Greece, March 18-20, 2009, wishes to remind
potential submitters that the submission deadline for the extended
abstracts is 31 October 2008 (see note below). More details of the
conference, submissions, etc can be found on our website at
http://www.websci09.org/

The theme of this first international conference of Web Science - Society
On-Line - reflects our desire to gather together a rich mix of scholars
from across the social sciences and computer sciences, people who do not
normally talk to each other. So do please consider submitting an abstract!

We look forward to seeing many of you in March.

Best wishes,

Jim Hendler, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and
Helen Margetts, Oxford Internet Institute

http://www.webscience.org

P. S. We have had a number of questions about submission details -- as
this meeting is designed to attract papers from many different communities
that have many different conference submission practices, we felt it best
not to over-prescribe formats. What we are looking
for is a description of your work, up to 2 pages long, that we can use to
judge whether it should be among the papers presented.  No specific word
lengths or fonts or etc -- use your judgment
