Medical Marijuana workers

Mississippi recently approved the use of medical marijuana in the state. The county I represent has an employee moonlighting policy. Per the policy, full-time employees have to request and be granted permission to take on work outside of their county employment (i.e. moonlighting).  Some department heads are concerned with their employees moonlighting at medical marijuana dispensaries, or other facilities, due to marijuana still being illegal under federal law. The concerns are primarily being raised by those departments that receive federal funds such as law enforcement, EMS (ambulance/emt services) and road department for those who hold a CDL.

Does anyone have any moonlighting policies that cover employees moonlighting at medical marijuana, or otherwise legal marijuana facilities for those states with legalized marijuana. I sure would appreciate seeing those if you can share, and hearing from anyone with thoughts on this subject.

Thanks so much.
