Hi NCL colleagues, I just caught up on this story from earlier in the summer. The Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation revealed that a data breach exposed the personally identifying information of 78,000 people in the Unemployment Insurance system and the adult education data system. Apparently there is no evidence that a hacker downloaded large amounts of data, so reading between the lines I am assuming this is a case of people having access to account logons they weren't supposed to have. But who really knows.
