To All -
I think the weather forecast freaked out a lot of folks tonight, and they
decided not to show up. Big mistake! The storms went north of us and a
beautiful, rock-hard southerly blew all evening at 10 -15 mph making for a
very short, but good race. (Sailflow data attached). Thanks to our venerable
Race Committee Howie Rinehart, Holly Cullen, and Jack Sadowski. Great news
is that Tony Martin raced his Nonsuch, Sheba, and took a 2nd place in the
Non-Spinnaker Division. Tony promises to get a PHRF immediately, and we hope
he's caught the racing bug. Welcome Tony!
Looking ahead we have two more Wednesday night races (August 26th, Sept.
2nd), and then Howie's Pursuit Race on September 9th. There's a lot more
racing to come on Labor Day Weekend, and every Sunday until mid-October.
Remember, racing is just an excuse for a good sail.
See you on the water.
