After a long wait we "spotted" the bird at 10:55 in its usual location at
the bend in the road on the way to the lighthouse.

Drive past the Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory until a gate blocks the
road. Park there and walk down the road past the swamp. When the road turns
left look for bird seed scattered on the road (courtesy of Paul Jones) and
birders lurking in the bushes.

Just a quick update that the Spotted Towhee was seen this morning by the
original finder Paul Jones at 7:20. I saw the bird yesterday at lunch time
after just a few minutes but I'm hearing that it might take up to a couple
of hours for the bird to show.

Directions as above but to reach the observatory in the first place, work
your way through the county towards the SE tip (Long Point Road). Prince
Edward County is accessed from the 401 via many routes including Trenton,
Belleville and Deseronto.

Mark.
