BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK (Durham): The bird found by Christian Friis at
Cranberry Marsh on August 16 continued to be seen by many through August 25.
Eurasian Collared-Dove (Norfolk): Mike Hallett had brief looks at one on
the L.E. and N. Trail southeast of Simcoe on August 19.
Marbled Godwit (Essex): Rob Tymstra had two at Fish Point on Pelee Island
on August 19.
Marbled Godwit (Norfolk): Lucas Liu had two at the tip of Long Point on
August 24.
Ruff (Niagara): Ryan Griffiths found an adult in Niagara-on-the-Lake on
August 21 that was enjoyed by many but not seen after the initial date.
Buff-breasted Sandpiper (Durham): One bird was in Orono on August 21.
Western Sandpiper (Huron): Erik Van Den Kieboom and Kiah Jasper found and
photographed one at Exeter Sewage Lagoons on August 19.
Western Sandpiper (Niagara): One bird was found at Morgan's Point on August
19 and seen by many the same day.
Willet (Hamilton): Rich Poort found one at Windermere Basin on August 20
that remained to at least August 25.
Long-tailed Jaeger (Essex): Michael McAllister and Cameron Chevalier found
an adult off the tip of Point Pelee on August 20. Another (or the same)
adult bird was reported at the same location on August 23 by Jacob Stasso.
Long-tailed Jaeger (Hamilton): At least one juvenile was reported by
several observers at Van Wagners Beach on August 25.
Franklin's Gull (Essex): Jeremy Hatt found a first year bird at Mettawas
Park in Kingsville on August 20 that remained to August 21.
NEOTROPIC CORMORANT (Frontenac): The bird found by Jenny Newton in
Cataraqui Bay on July 28 was seen by many all week to at least August 25.
NEOTROPIC CORMORANT (Toronto): Patrick Scanlon found an adult at Sunnyside
Beach on August 20 that remained in the area to be seen by many through at
least August 24.
LITTLE BLUE HERON (Essex): At least one of the immatures found previously
at Fox Pond on Fish Point (Pelee Island) by Sumiko Onishi was reported this
week on August 19 by Rob Tymstra.
Mississippi Kite (Sudbury): Rob Routledge photographed an adult along the
French River northeast of Bigwood.
Prothonotary Warbler (Toronto): Noam Markus, Gray Carlin and Makail
Johannesson found one on Peninsula D at Tommy Thompson Park on August 20
that remained to at least August 21.
