The Vuecrest neighborhood picnic is scheduled for this Sunday, August 30th,
from 5-8pm on the esplanade on Park Road. Stop by and meet your neighbors!
Highlights this year:
. The Toucans Steel Drum Band
(http://www.toucans.net/main_home.html) are playing tropical music to set
the mood.
. Papa Boi's Caribbean (http://papaboisfood.com/) will be
serving full dinners with vegetarian options available. We'll also have
pizza available.
. Hang out with cuddly (and not-so-cuddly) animals from
Animal Encounters (http://www.animalencounters.com/)
. And for dessert, shaved ice!

We must ask that attendance is limited to owners and residents of homes in
Vuecrest.
No time to serve on a Vuecrest committee? Don't stress out! Here is your
opportunity to support your community. Show up at 4:00 to help our loyal
picnic organizers with setting up tables and chairs, etc. Can't make it to
the event by 4:00? Then stay until the end and chat with neighbors while
breaking down and cleaning up. Our Social Chair Melissa Hambleton greatly
appreciates your spirit of volunteerism (as does her husband Bert who
doesn't want to be stuck with the job again)!
A perk for our volunteers: No waiting for your dinner - you can be first in
line!
P.S. A little rain won't dampen our spirits; the Vuecrest Neighborhood
Annual Picnic will be fun, rain or shine!
