National Coalition for Literacy Discussion List
View all threadsDear Colleagues,
Happy
New Year from all of us at the National Coalition for Literacy! As we
embark on this decennial Census year, we reiterate how crucial it
will be for adult learners and their communities to be fully counted in
2020. Equitable representation and distribution of government funding
depend on it.
To help achieve a full and fair Census count, NCL has created a resource page (https://national-coalition-literacy.org/research/the-2020-census/) that gives adult education practitioners tools for supporting adult
learners in understanding and completing the Census. In the coming weeks we will be
using all of our communications platforms (website, blog posts,
email, social media, webinars, and conference presentations) to help educate and mobilize these hard-to-count
populations.
Will
you please help us build awareness and share these resources among your
members and colleagues? You can easily do so by forwarding this email to
your contacts and encouraging them to take the following actions:

Read our blog posts and sign up for upcoming webinars at http://www.national-coalition-literacy.org
Thank
you in advance for your support. Together we can help ensure a far and accurate count of our adult learners, their families, and their communities.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2020!
