[image: Folio Single.jpeg] These limited-edition chapbooks feature brand new memoir essays by Yousef Allouzi and Samuel Snoek-Brown. *The Bedouin *is a highly personal account of Allouzi’s experience reconnecting with his cultural heritage in Jordan, and the racial profiling he faced upon his return to the U.S. In *There Are No False Alarms*, Snoek-Brown invites us to bear witness to his and his students’ experience in Winter 2018, when reports of gunfire at Highline College triggered a campus lockdown. The chapbooks are part of the Blue Cactus Press Chapbook Series, which gives emerging writers in the Pacific Northwest opportunities to publish creative writing on public platforms, participate in a mentorship with an established author, and learn about the publishing process. The chapbooks are sold as a pair and are labors of love, reflections of community building in the publishing industry, and a reminder to always put the writing first. Snoek-Brown and Allouzi worked together for over a year-and-a-half to complete their chapbooks.
