Philadelphia Marathon (and Quad County Metric Reminder): Special Discount Pricing When Registration Opens On April 1st!
Gators,Many of you just finished the Love Run, for some it was your first half marathon... So are you motivated to train for a full marathon this fall (training typically begins in the August timeframe)? Philadelphia Marathon (Sunday, November 22... The Sunday before Thanksgiving) registration opens at midnight TONIGHT. If you are planning to register, you might want to take advantage of this $20 discount (see below), but you will likely have to stay up late tonight as the first 500 spots usually go very quickly (i.e. they will likely be gone by tomorrow morning). This is a great race with a relatively fast course that's not too hilly... Good place for a first marathon or a PR and a great way to extend the use of your triathlon fitness and end the 2015 race season. Who's in?
Also, just a reminder that the Quad County Metric bike ride (Saturday, May 9) registration fee of $32.50 will increase tomorrow. This ride will serve as our Tri Club workout that day. There are distance options ranging from 26 to 76 miles (with or without 8 mile "Intensive Climbing Unit")... This is a good practice ride just before the main part of our event season begins.
