I am the designer/builder of a new cruising cat. We have been building custom sport fishing cats for some time and now we are introducing the Aero Cat Explorer 36. The boats are totally hand built from Divinycell, biaxial cloth and epoxy. Power is either outboard or Yanmar diesel. The 36 weighs less than 8500 pounds and is a full planning cat capable of comfortable speeds in the 25 knot range, with excellent fuel mileage. We can build any configuration of length, beam, cabin style up to 40'. The Explorer 36 outboard is priced at $225,000 fully equipped for cruising, the Yanmar powered model is $275,000.
