Exclusive Ontbirds Posting
A Brown Thrasher is coming to the feeder in Lambton Woods. It was first observed yesterday at about 1 p.m. by Dave Langford and seen today by myself around noon.
It is of course rather furtive and its visits to seed infrequent and very brief.
I posted this as I know of no other sightings so far in December and date rarities have been thin on the ground so far this winter listing season. Ontbirds was selected to ensure that this was communicated to the widest possible audience.
Directions: Proceed east along Edenbridge Dr. from Royal York Blvd. to James Gardens parking lot. Walk along trail past Lambton Woods sign and up the hill to the feeders. They are stocked every morning at about 10 a.m.
