Good Day all; I've been a reader but not contributor to the list for several
years, and felt this was a good way to jump in. Like George, I became
interested in powercats over 10 years ago and in 2003 ordered hull #4 of
Chartercats 42'cub.  I've never been happier with a boat despite the company's
demise, and the subsequent need to create jy own owner's manual and
maintenance guide.  In 2002-2004 cruising seasons we also chartered every
large powercat available in the US/BVI's and afterward placed the Chartercats
order.  The design of my boat ( a Schonning creation) has re-emerged as the
Totuga 42 from Classic Cats SA .  Their slightly smaller Havana 38 has more of
a "cruiser" flair, but I'd suggest anyone look at these models for excellent
use of space, and particularly with the Havana, a very user friendly engine
room and layout.
