Do Ruby-crowned Kinglets nest in central CT? We have been
watching a pair moving between two of our Japanese maples
and our large yellow cypress. Sue saw the red crown on one more
than once.  We have been observing one for several days now,
and today saw both the male and female.

Not really, per Sibley & Cornell.

It's not really close, so this would be unusual if documented.
Keep watching!

Ruby-crowned Kinglets are migrating right now, and they have been
widespread, noisy and common over the past week. They are northern nesters
and don't nest in CT.
