Windsor Locks - between CT River and WL Canal.
Just saw a pair of Peregrine Falcon soaring, they climbed several hundred feet up before assuming that fantastic pose pulling wings back, and diving at an incredible speed. Likely one caught its intended prey, while the other emerged and flew to a nearby tree on the banks of the river about 30 feet away from me and proceeded to vocalize with quite a unique sound before flying off. Normally I would’ve seen many ducks in the area but none were visible, they were likely aware of the falcons before I was. Fantastic sight to see.
