Mr. Roberts,
I had a question about installing the 0.8 release and noticed your named
towards the top of the page. I was wondering if there was any
hardware/software requirement I need to take into consideration before
installing this on a server? I see the prerequisite list and towards the
bottom you speak about it being installed on a Windows or UNIX system ...
But I guess I was wondering if this will run on any system, or if we need a
server of specific server running a certain version of windows server
software in order to be compatible with said prerequisite software and the
Collection Space distro.
I apologize if you're not the person I should be talking to.

Some general guidance about hardware requirements can be found at:

Collectively, we've hosted the CollectionSpace system on (at least)
Windows XP, Linux (both Fedora and Ubuntu), and Mac OS X.
I don't know personally if we have developers, or early
implementers and testers, also running CollectionSpace on Windows 7,
or any flavor of Windows Server. Others on this list may wish to
comment.
CollectionSpace 1.0 is scheduled to be released on October 20. QA
testing of 1.0 beta is currently underway. If this fits with your
timing, you might consider waiting until that release is available,
as it offers both new functionality and significant improvements in
performance.

Hi James,
As Aron mentions, I don't think we have any implementers working with
Windows7 or a Windows Server but, we can put you in touch with
colleagues working with the other platforms.
Also, if you have any other questions about features, functionality,
schedule, etc. please let me know.
