Gentlemen,
It's time to ante up. We need a final list of available players for Ruggerfest. This tournament will be extremely competitive this year, as a cash prize is on the line.
In speaking with Coach Peacock, IF YOU EXPECT TO PLAY D2 THIS SEASON, or if you aspire to earn a A-side spot, then you need to play in this tournament. It is not a social tournament and the level of play will be of greater quality than our league matches. As a team, we will approach Ruggerfest as a playoff-level series of matches.
The timing is not only important for clearing out cobwebs and building chemistry with the squad, but is also pivotal because the tournament falls in a large gap in the D2 schedule between our first league match and our second--in which we host Park City.
The Open Division games are on Saturday, September 19 and the finals are on Sunday, September 20. PLEASE RESPOND TO ME with your availability and provide a VALID excuse IF you cannot make the tournament. I need to hear from you by Saturday evening, so we can reach out to our lodging contact before the weekend passes.
Thank you,
Kris
