That's why Tacoma Arts Month Open Studios is so great - you the viewer and I get to connect!* - This year in my studio visitors can view a new body of large-scale acrylic on canvas paintings and a series of smaller paintings. - I will be available to share with you my ideas and subjects for this work as well as delve into my multi-layered process that uses maps, tape and plaster. Recent Work, Project 106, Seattle, WA 2019 Audrey Tulimiero Welch "Fuel" 2019 Acrylic on Canvas 48x48" A little background in case this is your first introduction to my work ..... Audrey Tulimiero Welch is an internationally exhibited painter who resides in Tacoma, Washington. She earned her BFA from the University of Delaware and her MFA from the Art Institute of Boston. From 2002-2016 Welch lived and worked in Indonesia, Thailand, and Australia; this has influenced the context of her paintings. Her abstract layered paintings can be read as metamorphic 'maps' that contain embedded daily life stories. Welch’s paintings are included in numerous public and private collections around the globe. Audrey Tulimiero Welch "Tempest Within A Brain" 2019 Acrylic on Canvas Also on view will be a special area devoted to earlier work, a sort of mini-retrospective. The great news is those paintings are all priced to fly off the wall (50-60% below my retail prices)!
