In case anyone missed this, the White House Task Force on New Americans http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/11/21/presidential-memorandum-creating-welcoming-communities-and-fully-integra recently posted "a call for ideas to help shape the focus of the federal immigration and refugee integration strategy." In a recent blog post, OCTAE suggests that "OCTAE’s programs are often the first educational stop for many immigrant and refugee families. Our practitioners can inform the Task Force with real-life stories and examples of specific actions and supports that could help immigrants and refugees integrate into their communities and for their communities to welcome them.”

Deadline for feedback is February 9th, 2015.

I pass this along as an opportunity for members may want to take advantage of, and/or pass along to their networks. In addition, if anyone would like to volunteer to draft an NCL response for possible submission, let me know.

Thanks

Jeff
