Music Fans,

There are several great shows happening next week including hosting guest musicians from Japan, a house concert for our upcoming exchange with France, performances with our Weekly Jazz Workshop students, and my first performance at Jazz Port Townsend. Read on for more details and hopefully you can come join us for some music.

Monday July 22nd The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra will be hosting guest artists from Kitakyushu Japan to celebrate the 60th anniversary between Tacoma and Kitakyushu. The concert will be held at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma WA. I'll be joined by Greg Feingold on bass, Mason Hargrove on guitar, Shiori Esaki on saxophone, and Mako Yamada on saxophone. 7pm, all ages welcome, no cover charge.

Tuesday July 23rd The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra will be hosting guest artists from Kitakyushu Japan to celebrate the 60th anniversary between Tacoma and Kitakyushu. The concert will be held at The Tacoma School of the Arts Theater in Tacoma WA. ( 1117 Commerce Street, Tacoma WA )
Along with the performance, we'll be discussing Kitakyushu, it's history, culture, music, and relationship to Tacoma. I'll be joined by Greg Feingold on bass, Stefan Schatz on drums, Shiori Esaki on saxophone, and Mako Yamada on saxophone.
7:30pm, all ages welcome, no cover charge.

Friday July 26th The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra will be performing at Tacoma's Historic Vaeth Mansion for an evening of dinner and music. The evening will support our Jazz and Cultural Exchange with Biot, France. **All proceeds collected from this fundraiser will go towards this cultural exchange program. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.

Saturday July 27th The Kareem Kandi Band will be performing at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma for the 2019 Glass Fest. 3pm, all ages welcome, no cover charge.

Saturday July 27th I'll be performing for Centrum's Jazz Port Townsend in Port Townsend WA. This is a wonderful annual international jazz festival and I'll be joining a great group of musicians including: Mark Taylor, Jay Thomas, David Marriott, Randy Halberstadt, Chuck Deardorf, and Greg Williamson. 10pm to 12:30am, $25. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.

I’ll be joined by Greg Feingold on bass, Stefan Schatz on drums, and special guest Jerome Smith on trombone.
