Good morning LSR,

I trust you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Leona and I love to drive into LSR because we are met with lights, lights and more lights.  Characters of all kinds and light shows that blow you away.  From the first home to all streets and cul-de-sacs our community is showing the holiday spirit.

This year is one we will all remember.  That being the festive spirit everyone is showing through their holiday spirit.  Yes, this year there are more lights and  festive decorations adorning the yards.  You can definitely feel the excitement in the air, see it in the smiles on faces and by the festive lights that are appearing each day in our neighborhood.  It is the most wonderful time of the year.

Two great things are happening in the next few weeks.  First I want to make sure you mark your calendars for Saturday Dec. 12th, Santa will be at the park.  10:00 am.  Yes the man, the myth, the legend.  More to come in the next couple days about this special event.  The ladies in our community have made it possible to have Santa here and to stay safe.  Pictures can be taken.  A special gift will be handed to all the kids.

Second, to help celebrate and recognize those that work so hard on the decorations, LSR HOA is sponsoring a contest to include the best decorated house and the best overall decorated street.  Last year, Limestone Pass took the honors for best decorated street.  Congrats to them. They earned it.  We are adding a couple categories since so many are participating.  Those are most festive neighbors and the ultimate prize, the Griswold award.

However, several streets have stepped up their game this year and it's going to be a tight race this year.  April Dawn, Woodland Pass and many others are putting out their lights and decorations.

So get your jackets on, dig out those lights and wreaths and put the final touches on your decorations.

We ask you to have those finished by Wednesday, Dec. 16th.  The judges will be driving through our neighborhood with announcement and placement of signs to follow by the weekend.

The best gift you can give anyone this year is your time and your smiles.  This holiday season, there are many ways you can support others virtually and stay safe.  This year, it is more important than ever that you spend time with your friends and  family creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Most of all, be safe, enjoy the holidays, stay warm and share a smile.
