Nuxeo 5.9.3 integrates Elasticsearch

This is pretty exciting. The Postgres-based full text search in
CollectionSpace does not perform well for us, at least for large datasets
and searches for commonly used terms (see Nuxeo issue
NXP-11897https://jira.nuxeo.com/browse/NXP-11897).
This could help with that. It may also obviate the need to do the Solr
extracts we currently do to drive some of our other CSpace-backed apps --
although, from that perspective it's unfortunate they didn't choose Solr.

I hope upgrading from Nuxeo 5.5 will be on the roadmap for future CSpace
development.

Ray,

I think upgrading to Nuxeo 5.9.x would be a great task to add to the
list of things to perform during the transition of CollectionSpace to
the new LYRASIS technical staff.  Aron's created a JIRA issue that
outlines some of the benefits of upgrading -see
http://issues.collectionspace.org/browse/CSPACE-6375.
