Ahoy David,

Even if you can make 50 miles over ground each day  it's doable to get to a
marina, but not all marinas are close to motels.  Many marinas will not
lend vehicles over night to get to a motel.  A 12  footer without any
refrigeration means eating out each night.  Restaurants  & Motels will increase your
cruising cost beyond the current national  debt.

Ciao, Capt Joe

My  friend and I (both retired and previous Trawler owners) are  considering
doing the Great Loop in very small boats (under 12 ft).  Is this crazy to
even think about? or is it doable given the types of water  that we will
have during such a trip.  We are somewhat experienced  boaters but no
experience with the Great Loop. We obviously would not be  living on the
boats, but just using them to get from point A to B to C,  etc. Any  advice
appreciated.
