From Greg Hanisek via Tina Green:
01/22/15 - Fairfield, Sunken Island -- Harlequin Duck around 8:10 AM.

From Russ Smiley:
01/22/15 - Stonington, St Mary's Cemetery -- 8:00 AM: Sandhill Crane
continues across cove standing in shallow water at base of railroad
tracks despite train passing and light snow.

From Bev Propen:
01/22/15 - Stonington, St Mary's Cemetery -- Sandhill Crane seen from
the cemetery, by RR tracks in water, then moving closer onto sandbar.

From Robert Dixon:
01/22/15 - Stonington, St Mary's Cemetery -- SANDHILL CRANE continues
9:50 AM roosting (on one leg) on the ice.
North Stonington, Parke Memorial Preserve (off Babcock Rd) -- 9:00 AM;
NORTHERN PINTAIL (4 males / 2 females). Pond mostly open.
Central Village, Quinebaug Fish Hatchery -- NORTHERN PINTAIL (1m),
WILSON'S SNIPE, WINTER WREN, PURPLE FINCH (1m).

From Roy Harvey:
01/22/15 - Stonington, St Mary's Cemetery -- SANDHILL CRANE still
there 11:18 to 11:33.
Guilford, East River marsh/boat launch -- 1 Rough-legged Hawk toward
the sound side as seen from the boat launch. Perched except for one
short flight. Also 3 Black Vultures seen far to the north past the
railroad tracks.

From Don Morgan:
01/22/15 - Stonington, St Mary's Cemetery -- around noon; Sandhill
Crane standing near the edge of the ice shelf as many have mentioned,
in the company of but not associating with assorted waterfowl. It
walked a bit, stood on 1 leg then 2, but overall was not very active.
About 1 PM it very suddenly took off, circled the cove once and flew
off to the northeast, in the direction of Wheeler Rd.  When I got
there about 15 minutes later it was far out in the southernmost corn
field.

From Paul Cianfaglione:
01/22/15 - Hartford, Charter Oak Landing -- 1 first year GREAT
CORMORANT.

From Ray Belding with Jerry Marcellino:
01/22/15 - Morris, Anderson Rd -- 2 White-crowned Sparrows feeding
under a feeder.

From Fran Zygmont:
01/22/15 - Barkhamsted, yard -- when leaving for work (7:30) had 3-4
Common Redpoll mixed with ~60-70 Pine Siskin (and ~80 goldfinch).
Redpolls still not visiting feeder but then again I only watched for
10 minutes.

From Elliott Ashe:
01/22/15 - New Milford, Ridge Road -- 1 Meadowlark, assumed to be
Eastern Meadowlark.

From Angela Dimmitt:
01/21/15 - New Milford, yard -- 4 Pine Siskins at feeders.
Litchfield, White Memorial, Museum feeders -- 1 Pine Siskin.
