The more the merrier. > Cape Cod Canal – Bourne and Sandwich MA > > 2014 marks Cape Cod Canal’s 100th birthday with planned celebrations extending from its west-end Buzzards Bay entrance to its east-end Cape Cod Bay entrance. The villages of Buzzards Bay (west end) and Sandwich (east end) have planned numerous events to celebrate the Canal’s bountiful seafaring heritage. Tour the US Coast Guard Eagle tall ship or Charles W. Morgan whaler, enjoy a good old Cape Cod Clam Bake or an evening of music and Parade of Lights. For any mariner looking to attend these events, it is highly recommended to make dockage reservations now. Bourne Marina, located at the west-end entrance of the Cape Cod Canal in the village of Buzzards Bay, and Sandwich Marina, located at the east-end entrance of the Cape Cod Canal, both will be in the heart of all the birthday festivities.
