Here's the note that came from Sandee Lovett:

The parade is part of an Olympic-style Opening Ceremony, to be held Tuesday
afternoon, April 30 at 4 PM.

Clubs and club activities will be announced, so we need to come up with a
list of them.  I'll work on it, but will welcome any help.  (examples would
be regional specialties , educational events, workshops, parades, rescue,
and financial contributions)  The Specialty Committee will provide a club
flag to be carried, and the flag will remain on display throughout the week.

All that in 2 minutes or less.

Club members can personalize the unit - in other words this is a great place
to use our parade banner and smocks.

One or more floats (carts) are encouraged.  They will supply a cart if we
have a dog to pull it and decoration to put in it.  Anyone have a small
canoe?

If you have special music you want played, bring a CD and they will play it
while you March.

I am happy to fill out the entry form, but I need to know:

Contact person at the show

Approximate number of participants, - people and dogs;

Who will carry the flag (Judy, Priscilla, someone else?)

Will we have a float?

Do we need a cart, or will we bring our own?

Dear NCA Regional Club Representatives,

I hope you and your club members are having fun planning your entry for the
Opening Ceremonies at the National Specialty.  We know that your Regional
Club supports the work of the NCA on the local level in many ways, and we
want to recognize it for its efforts. The deadline for submitting your
club's entry is less than a month away now ---  April 1st.  I've attached
the information from the Specialty Information Packet for your convenience.
Let me know if you have any questions.  I plan to attend your committee's
teleconference on March 11th for an update.

Thanks for all you do for the NCA and for our Newfs.

You could always march with both groups - I think they say it's about 2 minutes each; I don't know if they all stay lined up or just the flags (never having been there for that).

We'll be sure to mention our Canadian members.
