BEST WISHES FOR A HAUNTINGLY SAFE and SUCCESSFUL EVENT... ... to all Gators racing this weekend! The cornerstone (or gravestone?) event this weekend is the SRT 50K Relay that takes place for the first time on Halloween! And it looks like it will be a bootiful day for our 18 Gator runners, although the temperature will be more of a trick than a treat! We also get to sleep in an extra hour when our clocks fall back an hour (meaning we should have a very wide awake group at Sunday's 11:15am-12:15pm group swim)! So enjoy the special occasion of what should be a very clear blue moon, which is the first one to occur in the Eastern time zone on Halloween since 1944... Talk about once in a blue moon! If you are not familiar with the meaning of a blue moon, it's when we get two full moons in a single month, an occurrence that happens about every 2 1/2 years. And now announcing our SRT 50K Relay start list... According to our possibly accurate "Who's In?" athlete event calendar, there is at least one Gator on each of the following teams... • "Bunch of Gator Dudes Kicking Some Butts" (9:00am start): Participating on the team with the most descriptive name are Keith Ho, Sean Cozart, Jon Crosby, Sonny Dayrit, and Brian Kozera! • "Three's Company"... and so is four: Gina Stango, Rachel Truckley, and Gina's kids Jeffrey and Jenna will be completing the event virtually! • "Rum Runners" (8:30am start): Lynn Berkhimer-Seuberling is running with Jennie Santino, Christina Morrow, past Gators Mary Brackley and James Brackley, and practically a Gator Chris Adomat! • "Valley Pride" (9:00am start): Includes Jennifer Raab, Angela Epelbaum, another "almost a Gator" Gleb Epelbaum, Brian Butterweck, plus Brian's brother-in-law and sister-in-law! • "Fire Runners" (9:00am start): Allie Doyle and Michelle Louise will be running with Steve Bender, Lisa Marie, and Asante Wilson! • "Wait for the Shake" (9:00am start): Joe DeNicola and Paul Kratzinger will be running with Joe Mazzoni, Rick McIntyre, Terry Kelly, and Gator spouse Alan Kramer! • "2P's & a Badass Squad" (9:30am start): Jaydan Maree and Jessica Celestin will be running with Paul Godillot, Paul Padien, Jennifer Melnick, and Kelly Volpe! • "Back for a Redo" (8:30am start): This team includes Maureen Hoffman running with her family! • "Pottstown Posse" (8:30am start): Renee Schuck will be running with Yvonne DLuzen, Sharon Rodgers Barkhymer, Krista Lenhardt, Susan Rivera, and Sheri Strauss Reazor!
