There are similar enzymatic products (to Soltron) for gas engines.  In the US, most of the distribution is by Starbrite.

The only real life story which has much credence, is a fiend who had geled fuel in a forgotten tank (20 years forgotten) and put Soltron in the tank before an Atlantic Crossing--and the fuel was liquid and could be pumped and disposed of after the crossing.

I have tried it, and by any objective measurements I didn't see an improvement--however if it prevents fuel sludging and debris formation on the bottom of the tank--then worth the price.
