While visiting Hammonasset, I noticed that the birds are desperately looking for any kind of food, picking through snow plow piles for any bits of food they can find. So please bring seed

I observed the same behavior this afternoon at Silver Sands SP. Sparrows seemed desperate as they tried to find enough food. Mortality will happen to some extent. Unfortunately a dead Savannah sparrow was found lying next to a pile of plowed snow.
