Hi Everyone A reminder that we will be opening the gate for a community wide garage sale on October 6. As before, the gate will open at 8 AM and remain open until 1 PM for the sales. We will put out signs at the gate and on the feeder. There will be directional signs within the community to point shoppers in the direction of homes participating. The week of the sale, I will advertise on Craigslist early in the week and on Thursday. You may want to advertise your own sale as well, particularly if you have specific items you want to feature (like tools, kids items, sports gear, etc). We will be scheduling a pickup by Arms of Hope for any items you do not sell and wish to donate. Those items will be picked up early afternoon, staring at 1 PM. They will take any items in good repair. They do not take broken items, broken or torn furniture, or old electronics. Your donations must be at the curb and marked ARMS OF HOPE. A receipt will be left on your door. In a week or so, I will be asking for your addresses so I can get a good idea of how many participants we will have and also be able to let Arms of Hope know how many possible stops they will need to make. We will reschedule ONLY if the weather is absolutely impossible. Rain was predicted last time and did not materialize so that is not going to stop us unless we are in a seriously bad rain pattern.
