Re: Whitehall Marina, north end of Champlain Canal below Lock C-12
There's been some problems at Whitehall Marina recently, but a boater told
me all was well again, so the other evening my friend Pam and I went there
via car in search of dinner. It turned out the marina was once again fully
functional and all services were available, and things have settled down.
We spent our evening across the water at the Finch & Chubb restaurant and
bar, with the owner Bill Brina and his manager LeAnn Ingalls and we had a
terrific time. In fact I'm going back there Wednesday for another fine
meal with friends.
I know LeAnn for about 10 years now, from her days operating a Whitehall
restaurant Division Street Cafe. That place was not the fanciest place I
ever saw, but the food was rather excellent. I found whenever LeAnn was
involved, the food was terrific.
Whitehall Marina is for sale these days, though the owner Bill Brina
expects to keep the Finch & Chubb Restaurant, and the eventual plan appears
to be to have LeAnn eventually take it over. That pretty much guarantees
it's success.
The Marina is all new and in excellent shape, and I can highly recommend it
to you all.
