New backyard and CT bird for me Had an adult red headed woodpecker in our yard in Prospect earlier this afternoon.  Stood there with my mouth open for a minute in disbelief.   Had only seen them in Missouri when I was in grad school.  Definitely the birding highlight of my year.  ThanksJT John TrianaProspect
