1/23 Orange.
I did a brief survey around Crosby Pond, Indian Lake and Lake Wepawaug late
morning.
Crosby Pond still has the 2 Northern Pintails, with mallards and a pair of
Red shouldered hawks that seem to be setting up a household there.
Indian Lake had about 120 mallards, about 34 Canada Geese , 3 Mute Swans
and Ring billed gulls, but I didn't see the PF Goose nor the Canada with a
black & white speckled head & neck.
At Lake Wepawaug, there were about 300 (estimate) Canada Geese-mostly
resting on the ice and 1 Mute Swan tucked in with them. they were close to
the shore, so I was able to see with my binoculars, but I didn't see the PF
Goose. This was around 11:45pm.
