Gators: Notes for Thursday and Saturday Bike Workouts

Hello Gators,A few notes about upcoming workouts...Thursday nights, 7:30pm start time: As you are probably aware from previous e-mail and Facebook posts, we are moving back indoors on Thursday nights starting tonight.  The bike trainer workouts, led by Byron or Danny (Byron this week), will begin at 7:30pm and last 60-75 minutes.  The workouts will take place in Room 2 at the Y.  This room has a wood floor, so we all need to do the following so as to not damage the floor...Please bring a yoga mat and/or some towels to place under your bike to catch sweat.Please put your bike shoes on and off on or next to your bike... We CANNOT walk on the wood floor with bike shoes.Also...We are working on getting some mats for the room, but it will be at least a few weeks before this happens.If you do not have a trainer, but would like to participate in the workouts, we can provide a couple of short term loaner trainers AND we can provide the assistance in getting set up.  This will allow you to "try before you buy" so that you can determine if you'd like to purchase a trainer ($100 on up) and which type.Saturday mornings, 7:30am start time: We are going to stay outside as long as possible and then move indoors to Room 2; we will also move indoors for inclement weather.  Workouts will begin at 7:30am indoor or outdoor and will include bike workout followed by a short run (15-30 minutes).  For this Saturday, I am traveling and we do not have a substitute coach available.  Normally I'd suggest that one of our members takes the lead and sets up a group ride, but the weather forecast is poor (rain and wind), so we will not have a workout this Saturday.  I will be there to lead the workout on the following Saturday, 10/10 (which happens to be the date of IM Kona), and for all foreseeable Saturdays after that, so we will have a weekly Saturday morning workout from October 10 through at least the end of the year.
