Vuecrest Light Post Project is COMPLETE
Don’t they look GREAT! We’ve had a couple breakage issues, but parts are on order. So, don’t despair.
Paid Off Persistence
Have you ever noticed the lone ugly telephone pole at our East Entrance? It’s been there for 44+ years all by itself, not attached to anything. Does it remind you of a certain bridge in Seattle going nowhere? Well, one woman has been diligently working with the City of Bellevue for over two years to have it removed and it finally happened! A BIG hearty THANK YOU goes out to our fabulously persistent Susan Gibson! You Rock, Susan! Going, Going, Gone!
Vuecrest Good Samaritans
Another BIG THANK YOU goes out to Patsy & Larry Neher for noticing that the light post was damaged at the Southwest corner of Park Road and Vineyard Crest. Patsy took action and emailed the Vuecrest Directors and reported the breakage to the city. Then, Larry swept the broken glass to the curb so it would not get run over. Then, yet another humble, anonymous, do-gooder took it upon herself to sweep up the glass and pack it home in her car so no one would get hurt. I don’t know who you are, but I saw your genuine act of kindness from afar as I was taking my walk and couldn’t reach you in time to say thanks. Please turn yourself in, so we can give you a real, genuine, remote thank you! Such good neighbors, such good people. Thanks for making us smile! We need people like you now more than ever.
