We are in the process of removeing the pilot house on the Wild Duck. My
thoughts are to build a new pilothouse ahead of the salon and put a steering
station up top, kinda like the newer Krogen North Sea models. What would be
the disadvantages of this ? Also, what are the benifits of the forward
slopeing windows, other than they look "shippy", and what degree are they
sloped at normally ?

It sounds like the steering station would increase the vertical CG and
windage. I would consult with a Naval Architect and make sure he does a
stability analysis. If it is possible you might consider putting the
steering station aft of the pilothouse and/or salon and look over the roof.
This would give a lower CG.

The purpose of the forward slope is to reduce glare, primarily due to
sunlight reflecting off the dash inside the glass. The normal slope is 15
degrees.
