Ashford’s Second Annual

  • No Knotweed Day!*

*Saturday, May 22nd from 10:00 to *4:00

Come help us protect the amazing resourcs in the Nisqually watershed from
the damaging effects of invasive knotweeds! Learn how to identify and remove
these tenacious weeds, and participate in a knotweed bending event that
prepares the plants for treatment.

We will meet at the Ashford Fire Station at 10 am for a short demonstration,
then move to the area(s) selected for bending. Cars can be parked and left
there while we shuttle or carpool to the bending area(s) in the morning
and/or afternoon. We plan to meet back at the station for lunch from 12:30
to 1:30 pm, with sandwiches and drinks being provided by Paul Nerge and
Crescent Realty. We would then shuttle or carpool back to the bending
area(s) where we plan to work until 4 pm. We also welcome those who can't
stay all day and can only attend in the morning or in the afternoon. Your
efforts are appreciated.
