I can't say for sure when our first TrawlerFest was but it was either in Ft. Myers or Melbourne. Many others have followed. We have never been big seminar-goers but have always enjoyed crawling all over the boats. It seems to me that the earlier ones were smaller and more intimate. I fondly recall several T&T "chapter meetings" held in the evening aboard members boats. Sadly, that seems to have fallen by the way.
