Vuecrest LIFE-Neighbor to Neighbor
Back to School Alert
As the changing weather brings Fall, it also brings the return of school buses and children walking to the bus stops in our neighborhood. Please be sure to watch for our precious ones as you leave and return into Vuecrest.
Vuecrest Summer Picnic Report Back
I didn’t know how much I missed getting together until we all got together! The Annual Picnic was so much fun. We ate ourselves taco-silly (Who wants to confess their total consumption number?). They just seemed to multiply so easily. Plus there was pizza, popcorn, fresh cotton candy (Wasn’t that fun!), and we topped it all off with ice cream. All the kids loved the games, balloon art, and sparkle tattoos. We tried a few rounds of corn hole and loved the police vehicle display and the fire truck. We even had a visit from an armored police tank-like-thing. A major hit with the kids! Even the weather decided to work with us this year, not too hot, not too cold-even Goldilocks would have been satisfied.
We were able to meet some new neighbors and connect with others. It was just a fun afternoon. This is our biggest event of the year and it doesn’t come together without some wind beneath our wings. A big grateful thank you to our social Director, Neda, and her helpers Li and Melissa. You gave our community a great day! Thanks for all your hard work, effort, and dedication of time. You are appreciated.
Your Opportunity! HOA Directors Wanted
Every year two of our six Director’s retire from their term to make way for two more fresh faces that are willing to serve our community. The effort involved in these positions is generally 2-3 hours for our monthly meeting (usually held remotely) and 2-3 hours per month answering emails, viewing properties, etc. If you are dedicated to the welfare of your community (as a whole) and your neighbors (as individuals), this may be a good place for you. You will be surrounded by HOA veterans who will teach you the ropes, so nothing to know ahead of time. It’s actually fun to constructively interact and get to know your neighbors and neighborhood better. Both newbies and vintage homeowners encouraged to enquire.
Please contact directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net with your questions and willingness to serve. Also, feel free to submit the name of a community member who you feel might be a good candidate who will be contacted to discuss the details of the opportunity. We look forward to working with you!
Perfection Recognized
How do they do it?? We’d all like to know because year after year there is one house in Vuecrest that has perfected the “Art of the Lawn”. With tweezer precision it is manicured for our delight! Make sure you stroll by and enjoy the view at 9650 Hilltop. Thanks neighbors, we are green with envy.
Action Appreciated
It’s always tough for a Director to tell a neighbor that something might need attention on their property. We all know that our landscapes love the Northwest and it’s hard to keep track of how fast things grow around here. So, it’s helpful to remember that we all need reminders from time to time. All requested changes and corrections are for the benefit of the whole community, everyone’s home value, and our treasured view preservation. We all win when we work within our CC&Rs. That’s why our neighbors at 930 Sunset deserve a “shout out” for quickly addressing an issue of an overgrown hedge. Thanks! Your immediate action was much appreciated!
