As an exhibitor we are having a hard time believing it is going to pan out. No electricity, no airport, Pier 66 out, we are seriously considering not going, some manufacturers almost cant afford not to since they have so much money involved already, but I got to believe most customers aren't going to travel to a disaster area when they don't have to. The St. Petersburg show is a month later. With no hurricane damage.
Boaters miss a (the) major boat show??? Maybe a few,
but I suspect the show will be well attended, even if a
smaller crowd than usual.
With Ft Liquordale 1400 miles away and no vacation time
left for this working stiff, I won't be making it this year,
but probably will next year. Wife and I get to sponge off
her brother in Palm Beach County!!! I expect he will go
this year.

You have the wonder about the prospects for success when even the
show site doesn't seem to be working:
http://www.showmanagement.com/
Fort Lauderdale did get a good promotional hit in the current issue
of MotorBoating:

But not everyone seems happy:

I would imagine that it's not a case of the showmanagement
site not working, but a case of no access to a server somewhere
due to phone lines having been interrupted.
