A bit of Birding in Orange during lull in rain

8/22 , Orange, 9:40-10:40am. (highlights)
At Old Tavern Rd recreation fields, the 2 juvenile ospreys were on top of
the nest (light pole), completely drenched and preening.  At the pond
there- 5 Wood ducks-appear to be female and young.

At Crosby Ponds (Racebrook Rd business park, parking lot)-
4 Semipalmated Sandpipers feeding and preening in mudpuddles, 5 Barn
swallows,  an estimate of 35 American Robins, mostly juveniles, flying
around and bathing in the mud puddles.

At Indian Lake- 1 juvenile D.C. Cormorant sitting in tree on the island and
1 Great Blue heron at  secondary pond.
