BREAKING NEWS: WE WERE SELECTED - LOOK FOR A FLYER OR NEWFLINK NOTICE ABOUT
THE OCTOBER 31 PARADE FOLLOWED BY MEMBER (AND DOG) APPRECIATION DINNER.

The club dinner will be held after the parade at a restaurant suggested by
Marisela Franco:

They have a large parking lot and large patio area where our Newfs are
allowed.  It can be scheduled in advance with date time and estimated guest
count.

Susie suggested prizes and trophies for the Specialty show in December which
were all approved by those present.

We discussed water work again, and one of our new members, Ken Urbiaha
volunteered to look into the process for getting a permit at a site he knows
in Ramsey County.

Marisela Franco reminded everyone to please send a photograph of their dog
to her for inclusion in a club calendar.

Chris Plum proposed that the Northstar Newfoundland Club apply for
membership in the Minnesota Purebred Dog Breeders Association so that we can
exhibit at the State Fair, primarily to promote our rescue activities.  The
motion passed and Chris is to submit the application.

Janey Shaddrick provided an update on Newf Rescue.  We currently have a list
of potential homes that is being used to match homes with dogs as new dogs
enter the service.

The meeting was adjourned to the rally/agility course in the backyard where
all the dogs successfully completed the course.

OTHER NEWS:  JOIN STACIE AND DAVE KRAMLINGER AT AAMODT'S APPLE FARM THIS
WEEKEND.

The weather sounds beautiful as of now!

We are planning our annual trek to Aamodt's Apple Farm in Stillwater next
weekend if anyone would like to join us. Vikings are on bye, so no worries
about missing the game. We will probably be there around 11:00am.
