Hi,
I have my computers display set to Dark Mode (due to vision problems
related to bright light.) When first starting OpenSCAD, whether with a
New file or opening an existing one, the editor has a white background.
However, if I subsequently open another file, the editor window for that
file has a dark background but the text remains the same colour(s) as
for the white background (which the attached screenshot shows is
effectively unreadable.) The originally opened file retains its white
background. The editor for a New File also has a white background, and
strangely, when returning to the opened file (with the dark background)
after viewing the New File, the editor window has reverted to a white
background. Subsequent files opened display the same behaviour.
I have tried changing the syntax highlighting colour scheme, but the
only effect I see is that the line-number side bar changes colour.
I am using both OpenSCAD-2025.07.11.ai26056-x86_64.appimage and
PythonSCAD-2025-06-19.appimage on OpenSUSE Tumbleweed (KDE; Plasma6,)
but the same behaviour has been evident in previous versions.
